Ellen Wasylina gave her first speech on the Green Economy in 2017 in Washington, D.C at the French Chamber of Commerce and later on that year on the kind invitation of the Bulgaria Mining Forum in Sofia, entitled, ”The Green Economy : source of opportunity and jobs.” Her speech is available in one of her most recent books, “Sustainability Governance in a post-globalized world” published on Apple Books in 2019.
Having worked in Algeria as an expert with a EUROPEAID consortium, she contacted Dr. Ismael Chikhoune, President of the US-Algeria Business Council in Washington, D.C., and together they put together the concept and established the mission and vision for the Green Economy Forum, based on several Sustainable Development Goals for this 3-day format , as follows :

SDG 9: Infrastructure
SDG11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
SDG 13: Reducing Carbon Emissions
The U.S. Algeria Business Council’s upcoming trade mission to the US-Algeria Forum on the Green Economy in Algiers, Algeria, on March 1-3, 2022 is certified and supported by the U.S. Commercial Service, a division of the U.S. Department of Commerce. This event is open to American companies in the recycling, renewable energy, green infrastructure, and agriculture sectors.
