Here is a brief bio of our guest : Olya Peneva is a business and human rights specialist and the founder of the Bulgarian Foundation for Business and Human Rights—the first organisation in Bulgaria dedicated to the intersection of business and human rights. She believes that placing people at the center is essential to addressing global challenges and ensuring sustainable solutions. Olya’s work applies an interdisciplinary approach to examining the social and environmental impacts of business practices. She holds a law degree from Monash University, Australia, and specialisаtion in business and human rights as part of her Мaster’s studies at the EMA Global Campus in Venice, Italy. In her masters’ degree she analyzed the implementation of the business and human rights framework through the gender equality laws in Bulgaria. She is a Sustainability Practitioner who focuses on people , an author at ESGnews.bg, and most recently , a lecturer at the first Bulgarian ESG Academy , where she teaches a module on business and human rights .
